this decreases by 5 degrees per week until they are fully feathered and ready to go outside
We require that you use a heat lamp for your chicks. NOT A HEAT PLATE

Brooders

Brooders should be large enough to have a hot side and a cooler side
We require that you use a heat lamp for your chicks.
We do not guarantee chicks that have been under a heat plate.
We recommend you use a thermometer in your brooders to check the temperature.
The bedding for chicks should be wood or paper shavings.
No ceader or scented wood is permitted.
Chicks should not be on puppy like potty pads.
Brooders should have solid sides and be out of the wind and not directly under a fan.

Feed and Water

We recommend medicated chick starter
Chicks need their waters changed daily, even if their water looks clean.
No "treats" of any kind
